Glenn started playing rugby in 1995, as a Marine, when his best friend asked him to come out for a team. He has played 7s, 10s and 15s and represented the All-Marine Corps team and Combined Services. Glenn attended Norwich University from 2000-2004 where he played #8 for a team that competed in Div I Sweet 16 and captained the team, he was also an assistant coach for the women’s team his Freshman year. Glenn retired from the Marine Corps in 2015 and joined Virginia Rugby (Men’s Div 2) as a player and Coach. He continues to play and support the mission of The Old Breed Rugby Club, a veteran centric club with women’s and men’s teams that raise awareness of veteran’s issues. In 2019 Glenn joined the Old Glory Capital Selects as an assistant coach for the women’s team. He also was a “guest” coach for the University of Virginia women’s team in 2019 prior to joining the team full time as an assistant coach.
Virginia Women’s Rugby is happy to announce that Glenn Jensen has been added to the staff.

The Bad News ‘Hoos are finishing up the season soon. We beat everyone at the Mardi Gras tournament to take the win! We had a successful VWIT (thanks to the VWIT Chairs!), losing to Navy 22-17 in the semis. Indiana won VWIT and were a tough and physical team. We lost 29-20 to JMU in Mason-Dixon quarters, which knocked us out of National contention for the first time in 15 years. We bounced back nicely by beating U Pitt 56-7 in our consolation match. This weekend we take on U Maryland at 11 on Saturday at the Engineering Fields, College Park (you can Google map that). After that we play under the lights in Richmond versus the James River Women on Friday April 18th. Dorey Park.
The team in NOLA, having a fun dinner the night before the tournament. They still like to eat 🙂
